The Didgeridoo is a wind instrument originating from Australia. Didgeridoos are commonly 1.2m, but can reach up to 3m, the longer the instrument generally the lower the pitch. These instruments are usually made from hardwood, specifically Eucalyptus trees. The didgeridoo is played with continuously vibrating lips to produce the drone while using a special breathing technique called circular breathing. This requires breathing in through the nose whilst simultaneously expelling stored air out of the mouth using the tongue and cheeks, experienced players can keep a continuous note playing.
